Paul & Frank Conlon (from Braintree & Weymouth, MA. respectively) had formed Conlon Bros. Competition on Oct. 15, 1983 with the signing of a sales agreement for the purchase of a 1969 Front Engine Dragster from Mike Cassella of Rockland, MA.

Before we had started our 2006 season last year it was decided by Pauly T. that the Boston Monkey and the Conlon Bros. Competition crew were going to take the 2007 drag racing season off from running the funny car in order to regroup mechanically as well as financially.

No More Speed, I'm Almost There... (July 2005) |

The Boston Monkey had supplied his own thrills today when he ran a new personal speed record of 209.01 MPH during Pro Comp qualifying. That speed record was backed up with a run of 207.78 MPH earlier in the day. The previous speed record was a 203.61 MPH recorded at this event in July, 2004.
